So What Wednesday!

Today I am linking up with the lovely Shannon over at L.A.I.D for another edition of
So What Wednesday!

Today I am saying "So What" to:

  • Halloween is tomorrow and it doesn't even feel like it to me.
  •
  • Yesterday I posted how I wasn't ready to lose an hour of sleep to the daylight savings time change, well I realized this morning that we "fall back" and actually get an hour extra to our day! I can deal with that!
  •
  • Social media is getting to me really bad recently. I went to catch up on FB earlier and I had to close the window because it was just making me furious.
  •
  • Facebook should ban politics from it. I have people on my list (mostly hidden now) that post nothing, but political stories, comments, and scandals. If you don't like the president, congress, or the government, then move to a different country. Your facebook post isn't doing anything, but blocking up my news feeds.
  •
  • I don't know why the person who comes in after me at work always feels the need to turn the stupid overhead lights on. He sits in an office anyways, so why does he need to turn the buzzing overhead lights on over me. I mean its 7am people!
  •
  • November starts on Friday! I was just getting used to the idea that it was October!
  •
  • The lady on our van has had two accidents in the last couple months. The other day she ran into the concrete column on the way out of the parking garage. Now the van company says she can't park the van so now I am stuck driving it every day to and from the stops. I hate driving that big van!
  •
  • I am in such a grumpy mood this morning, I need to go back to bed and have a redo!
  •
  • I have a lot to blog about and a ton of pictures to share, but I can't seem to be motivated enough to do it! Maybe I can get some stuff posted tonight! (Don't hold your breath though!)
So these are the things I am saying "So What" to! How about you?

10 Things on Tuesday

tues
It's Tuessssssday again!!!!

1. I have been kind of sucking in the Mom department lately! Number one I didn't get pumpkins this year for Kenny and I to carve. Hailey won a nice big one at her Fall Festival. I had planned to go grab some this past weekend and just didn't feel up to it. Now it's 2 days from Halloween and I haven't even carved her pumpkin with her!

2. I have been in bed pretty much every night lately by like 8:30 or 9. Even this past weekend I have had a hard time hanging much past that! Exhausted is an understatement currently.

3. Since it now gets darker much earlier, Hailey doesn't notice that we are going to bed early! In the summer when it was still sunlight she would question me, but now she sees dark and just goes with the flow!

4. I am not ready to Fall Back an hour come Sunday! I need that lost hour!

5. I won a giveaway yesterday! How cool is that! I have never won anything off of a blog!

6. I need to go grocery shopping, but I left my reuseable bags at home and also haven't cut this weeks coupons or organized my previous coupons. Sounds like I need to wait until tomorrow to go to the store!

7. Speaking of reuseable bags, I just jumped on the band wagon with those, only because I saw soem for 99 cents that had dogs and cats all over them. They are the nice plastic feeling ones and then I have one cold bag from target that I have yet to give back to my mom! These things are awesome! I can shove so much groceies in them and litearally carry in these three bags and the milk in one trip and have all my groceries inside. I think that's a huge incentive to using them!

8. I am hoping Hailey is in a better mood tonight! She normally doesn't go into hysterics unless she is tired or getting sick, so last night worried me. She had like 4 melt downs over nothing. I am just thinking she was having a case of the Mondays.

9. Ever since the furlough ended and I came back to work, I have had the worse time of getting in the hang of bringing my breakfast and lunch to work! I have been buying food way to much for comfort! I need to really get back in the swing of that because no only did I keep track of eating healthier, but saving like $50 a week on food really makes a huge difference!

10. I need to really put my mind to working out, even if it's just walking most days of the week. I have been so exhausted that I can barely get out of bed, but I really need to try to do this. I have a lot going on and it will help me so much both mentally and physically if I got moving!

So those are my 10 things on Tuesday! What would you like to share?

WW: First Grade School Pictures!

Last night when I picked Hailey up from aftercare, she told me that her school pictures where in her book bag! I couldn't wait to get home and check them out! So here it is!

My First Grader!

My package came with downloads with six free backgrounds so you can print at home, so as you can see I had fun playing with those!

Ten Things on Tuesday!

1. It's been a while since I've blogged. This furlough has gotten me down and I just really haven't had a need to pull out my laptop.

2. I have a nasty cold! I am hoping it disappears soon!

3. I have been so tired lately.

4. I need to go grocery shopping like now! I finished off both the milk and orange juice today. Also we are out of snacks for Hailey's lunches. I just haven't been motivated to go shopping yet!

5. Tonight was the last cheerleading game. We have officially turned in all our uniforms and poms also. It was a lot of fun! Now we just need to schedule the end of season party so they can get their pictures and trophies. We are actually considering a sweet frogs party!

6. It has rained for days this past week. I was worried about my trip this past weekend to PA, but it was absolutely beautiful up there! The weather couldn't have been any better. We got very lucky because at home we got more rain!

7. I can't wait to share pictures from our trip. The deer farm was soooooo cool!

8. I had a meeting with Hailey's teacher yesterday morning before school. Hailey is doing very good and right where she is suppose to be. The teacher said Hailey never has issues writing and always has creative juices flowing. She's impressed at the amount of detail she puts in her illustrations, just need to work on spelling certain words correctly. She said she's a very bright student and never wants to be caught doing anything wrong. I am one proud momma!

9. I hate taking vitamins, but need too! I decided to give the cvs brand gummy vitamins a try and let's just say they are AMAZING! I'm sad I only get two a day!

10. I have had a lot going on lately and a lot of things I would like to talk about and share, but for now I have to hold off. But they will be coming soon! So stayed tuned!

So those are my ten things this Tuesday, what would you like to share?!

WW: Halloween Crafting (Part 1)

I know, I know! It's suppose to be wordless Wednesday, but I want to tell you a little bit about it first!

Something I have always loved is having something to hang from my door. I made a wreath in the spring that had some polka dotted burlap ribbon and some bright colored flowers on it. It was pretty cute and lasted all spring and summer long. With a new season and an awesome holiday right around the corner, I decided to jump on the chance to make something new for my door.

I went to AC Moore and bought a plain medium sized wreath (and they were on sale that week!!) and the found some black ribbon with glittery silver webs all over it. I found a little hanging thing that said "Happy Halloween" in an aisle of random Halloween things. And the final thing I got was a big black glittery spider that was on a random stick in that same aisle.

I got home and got my glue gun out and went to work. I wrapped the ribbon around and glued it to stay in place. Next I cut some ribbon to make a big bow and glued that on and then pulled the spider off the stick and hot glued him on the bow! Lastly I placed the little sign in the middle and glued that on so it would hang.

The entire project cost me a little less then $10 and took about 30 minutes. I am pretty happy with how it turned out!

10 Things On Tuesday!

tues

1. We cheered at a different place tonight. It was a stadium with bleachers. It was kind of exciting and I think the girls enjoyed being on the field and looking into the stands. They even did their half time show on the steps next to us. Plus it was nice not having to lug around a chair.

2. I can't believe the fall sports season is almost over. We have one practice and one game left!

3. I did a good job not stressing over the possibility of a furlough this past weekend. I figured it would work itself out like it has in times past. I was wrong and now I am in full panic mode.

4. I am super bummed today and actually this past week. I have things on my mind and that are bothering me and I need to worry about. This is not helping at all! I didn't finally fall asleep until 4am this morning stressing about things. I had almost been up for almost 24 hours.

5. We went to the fall festival this past weekend and it was pretty awesome! I was impressed on the amount of stuff they had and the amount of people who came together to help out. Also the turnout was pretty amazing. We prepaid for our tickets so they were on .25 a piece. You could buy them there for .50 though. Each station was one or two tickets. Hailey played a "Pumpkin Walk" where all the kids walked around paper pumpkins on the ground that had numbers on it. They played music and when the music stopped you stood on the pumpkin in front of you. They drew a number and if you were standing on the number called you got to pick a pumpkin. Hailey was the first winner and picked out this nice huge pumpkin. Needless to say, I lugged that thing to the car before we did anything else. She went on a hayride, painted a little pumpkin, went through a spooky forest, threw a ball at a dunk tank to dunk a teacher and many more cool things. Each station you got punches on a card based off of what you won. At the end you turned your cards in and got to pick prizes. Like I said it was pretty awesome!

6. I have been sporting some not so pretty nail polish for the past few weeks. Last night I was in a group text message with some lovely ladies and we started talking about our toes and need for pedicures. We started sharing some pictures. This inspired me to remove the nail polish, cut and file my nails, and then put a fresh coat on! Not a pedicure, but a huge step up!

7. I had my follow up doctors appointment today. I have been having issues with my blood pressure spiking still, nothing like before, but it just isn't stable and is too high considering I take four different pills a day. One of the pills I take twice a day comes in a patch form. I am being switched to that so that hopefully it can release a steady dose of medication into my system. Plus she is hoping that I will be able to function a little better with it because the pill form makes me so very sleepy.

8. Apparently I am not very focused tonight because after number 7 I got up and got in the shower then decided to do a cooling face mask. I am back now and focused again!

9. I have read like 5 books in September alone. I just started a new one and am pretty excited about it!

10. My Barnes and Nobles gift card was emptied out with the last book I bought on my Ipad. Coincidentally enough I am like 10 surveys away from having enough points for a new $25 gift card! Wahoo!

Tomorrow is a new day! Hope your Tuesday was good!
