10 Things on Tuesday

1. I kept thinking it was Wednesday, but I am incorrect. It's only Tuesday and I'm beat.

2. So apparently the bus ran off the side of the road and hit a tree today on the way home. The little girl next door got off the bus with a bloody lip. I guess that's not something important that parents should be notified about! Now I'm curious what happened! The neighbor said that the school is closed and the board of transportation isn't answering the phone. Crazy!

3. Tomorrow is October and I think that's just nuts! On the 11th Emily will be 4 months. Can we stop time please? But let me be clear that if time does stop please make sure it's when I'm home with the girls and not at work!

4. October is already looking to be a crazy month for us! A trip to NY and birthdays! It's always been one of my favorite months.

5. Tomorrow we have dinner with Kenny's middle brother and wife. They leave Thursday for Guam for 3 years so we won't see them again until she gets stationed back in the US.

6. I went into a meeting today completely unprepared and I was 1 out of 4 people so it was kind of important. How did I forget to read and critique the 38 page 2014-2019 Strategic Report. Of course she wanted to collect our copies to read our notes, so I quickly grabbed mine because "I thought of something else I want to add".......or to actually read it and make notes!  Ekkkk.

7. I wish I could figure out how to come up with extra money because owing money sucks and stresses me out. Kenny doesn't seem to care but now I feel as though I'm walking on egg shells until it's returned. It sucks that this whole air conditioning unit needing to be replaced came at the time it did because now I feel obligated to make sure all extra money goes to that and that's not good with these medical bills and Christmas right around the corner. Who has a money tree I can shake?!

8. I got Hailey's costume last Friday when target had a 40% off cartwheel.  She picked a witch and the one she liked was the cheapest one there. Can't beat that! I even bought her a witch broom, of course she wanted a matching one which was like $10, but no thank you, we will take the $3 one!  So with both being 40% off her entire costume was $9! Can't beat that!

9. I've been feeling kind of down lately about several aspects in my life. I keep telling myself that I need to let these things go but it's so hard to just move on from some of the things that have been bugging me.

10. We updated and put out our scarecrow family on Sunday to include Emily! I need to snap a picture because it makes me happy!

So what 10 things would you like to share today?!

10 Things on Tuesday!

tues

1. I have seen a LOT of talk about essential oils and I have no clue what they are. Do you eat them? Do you put them on? I'm kind of confused!

2. I am pretty exhausted, but in much better shape then yesterday! Yesterday I didn't go to work. It just wasn't happening. I heard my alarms go off, but I just seriously couldn't get out of bed. Even Emily was tuckered out from the weekend. She passed out around 8:30pm and I didn't hear a peep from her until around 7:10am.

3. This weekend was pretty amazing! This weekend was his truck clubs big show! I wish I could have spent some more time with Kenny, but he was pretty busy with judging and doing the events. I hardly got to talk to him at all. The show went way better then I thought it would and I think the group thought it would. There was a lot of people who helped put on the show and last minute organizations. We had the whole Sunset VA which is a pretty small chapter, Sunset MD, Sunset NJ, and Sunset NC all came to help out. It was a great event and there was a pretty good crowd. All proceeds went to Cancer Sucks! which is a charity group in honor of the fellow mini truckers who passed away from pancreatic cancer in March. One of the cool things was that Kenny's truck was the design for the shirt. He was super excited about that. Believe me with the amount of shirts he bought he will be wearing one weekly. He even got me them in all the colors and one shirt for Hailey!

4. I sucked at Weight Watchers this weekend. Like completely blew it! I tracked everything, but I am still -66 points! Opps! In return I have had a hard time getting on track and have been extra hungry today. Luckily I have my head in the game and am pushing forward.

5. The girls and I have been walking ALOT lately! We have shaved 3 minutes off of our mile from beginning and actually added an extra half a lap. We typically walk a little over 2 miles. It's not the easiest to be motivated, but I do enjoy it once I am doing it.

6. I caught up on some blogs through BlogLovin. I had 291 unread and I think I am down to 161. It was nice catching up on some people's lives. Now just to catch up on the rest!

7. I am meeting some lady (stranger danger) for coupons tomorrow evening. My friend has me worried that since they are formula coupons that the lady is going to meet me just to kill me and steal my kids. Ummmmm I guess if you don't see anymore posts from me, then I guess we will know she's right. She said she saw something similar on ID Investigation channel, so hopefully my story won't make the news. The lady seems to be big in our local coupon groups so I am hoping she is just another crazy coupon lady like me! Come one $10 off of 2 things of similac?! That's a great deal!

8. I made asked Kenny to go shopping with me last night. He complained the entire time! He complained about where we started in the store, he complained about my coupons, he complained about my Target Cartwheel app, he even complained that he didn't like my reusable bags because he couldn't "stack" them in the car. He didn't acknowledge the fact that I saved $65 or that we can fit so much more in the reusable bags. Noppppeeeee! But that's men for you! He didn't HAVE to go, I just said I wasn't taking the baby with me if he didn't. Ha!

9. The van company I ride on for commuting gave us each fleece blankets with our names embroidered on them. They hyphened my last name which is incorrect, but hey! it was still a really nice surprise for all of us!

10. This evening I just felt grumpy. People were getting on my last nerves. In fact, I did a good deed for the day. It included not telling the very RUDE old woman at the grocery store behind me in line off and a second good deed was not running her over in the parking lot. Look lady, I realize you are old and I probably should of let you go in front of me when we got to the line at the same time, but I'm a sleep deprived momma bear who left my house over 12 hours ago and put in a full 8 hours of work and 4 hours long commute so I win! I think regardless she was just in a nasty mood or had a nasty personality. People these days!

WW: A "Me Puppet" Project

Hailey brought home her first project for school that is due this Friday. It included a brown paper bag and instructions to create a puppet that looked like her! After some thought, this is what we came up with! She did such a good job with drawing and cutting things out of card stock and gluing everything together. I helped her with figuring out what she wanted, but the majority of it she drew and cut out by herself! She of course wanted earrings and a necklace, and luckily I had stick on pearls for card making she could use! We had a blast working on it together and she can't wait to take it in and show her class! Now she needs to bring 3 of her favorite things in to go with it! She said she is thinking about a Littlest Pet Shop toy, a picture of her and Emily, and a Scentsy bar! Ha! That's my little sales girl! She also thought that me bringing in warm homemade chocolate chip cookies for everyone would be a good idea for one of her favorite things, but I had to disagree with that idea!

10 Things on Tuesday- Wednesday Edition

tues

1. It's not Tuesday, but I missed my 10 Things on Tuesday, so I am just going to make it a Wednesday edition.

2. I am extremely tired today and had a hard time waking up this morning. I think this running on 5 hours or less of sleep a night and going going going during the day is starting to knock me down.

3. I overslept yesterday! I have no clue how that happened, but this morning I realized that my 4:35am alarm didn't go off. I set my alarm for 4am so I can get up with Emily and change and feed her before I get ready for work at 4:35. So while I was sitting there this morning I looked at my phone and it was 4:40am which means my alarm never sounded even though it was set to go off. I guess I need to clear my alarms out and try to reset them again!

4. I have really bad anxiety today and so much on my mind lately. I don't like it at allllll!

5. I have a very busy weekend ahead of me and am not sure how I am going to get everything done or exactly what I will and won't be doing. I am expected to be at a truck show that Kenny's club is putting on Friday through Sunday. I have a staff shirt so he's been on me about making sure I am there for the majority of it when I can be. It will be interesting. It's a pretty big event and they have worked hard at it and it's pretty important to this club, so I hope it goes smoothly because right now it seems a MESS!

6. Kenny's job is getting closer to dooms day and still no answers. What we do know is that there is a good chance that most of them will lose their positions. Kenny has the most seniority there and time in, so that is on his side. They are hoping to keep one maintenance position which would hopefully be for him, but if not he may be out of a job for 3 weeks while they continue to work on a new contract for the other buildings and create a maintenance position there. But then again, there is also a chance that the agencies that he works for and the higher ups in the government will say they don't need a contract for maintenance at all. They have 20 days before they turn into pumpkins and they are completely left hanging at the moment. I try not to worry, but come on, he's the bread winner in the family and we need his paycheck!

7. I've been really working hard on eating healthier, portion sizes, and adding in exercise each night. Tomorrow is my official weigh in day and I just have this gut feeling that I am going to have gained. I have lost a little under 8lbs in the past two weeks, so I know that it will eventually slow and become more normal weight loss, but I can't help but be worried and nervous. I know there won't always be big loses or any loses at times, but you still hate to see it while you've really been working hard. I just have to keep my head in the game and continue to push forward no matter what it says for this week.

8. School has been in session for a week and a half and we are slowly learning that 2nd grade is much more demanding then 1st. Along with nightly homework and nightly word study, we also have to ready 120 minutes a week and log our minutes and also a weekly book report in her journal! Not to mention weekly projects throughout the year. It's going to be hard to juggle everything, especially with gymnastics once a week and trying to get everything done nightly after I get home from work and we have dinner. I am definitely putting effort this year into making sure that we don't procrastinate as much as we have before in the past years.

9. Medical bills are killing me right now. Every time I turn around there is a new one. I have gotten really organized with my Statement of Benefits from the insurance and cross checking them with the bills coming in. I have them all in chronological order and have been attaching the bills when they are paid and tabbing ones that still need to be paid so I know what to expect. I think being more organized has helped me, but I wish there were more with zero balances then there are! I have a $452.36 one for both girls deductibles from the pediatrician sitting next to me as we speak.

10. I can't believe it's only Wednesday! I feel like it should at least be Thursday! It's turning out to be a long week!

WW: My 2nd Grader!

Yesterday was the start of school for our area! Hailey was very excited to get up and get ready! I couldn't send her off without taking a few pictures!

*PS: I am just now realizing how grainy these are! AHHHHH!

The first day of school was a success! I took off so I could be there to get her on and off the bus which was exciting for me! This year was the first time she would be coming home on the bus. Of course there was an issue with the school and they had her going to the YMCA branch that did her afterschool program last year. The bad thing is they are no longer at the school so they would have been loading her up and taking her somewhere completely different. Hailey isn't one to ask questions so she probably would have gone with the flow of things! Ekkkkk! So good thing I paid attention to the bus schedule that came out and was able to get that all straightened up! After the incident in kindergarten when they put her on the bus when she was supposed to stay after school (not to mention that we were brand new to the area and knew no one here, plus they couldn't tell me where my child was or if they let her off the bus and I was over an hour away!) I was nervous that things were going to get mixed up again. Luckily I was able to stay home so that IF something did happen then I could fix it quickly!

Okay, so back to my story! Hailey had a very good first day of school! She loved her teacher and found the class with no problem! She came home on the bus with no issues and she even made some new friends in her class! I am so glad she was so happy! She told me she "couldn't wait to go back tomorrow!" Wahoo!
